A few years ago, over dinner with my mentor, I mentioned how  troubled I was by young girls comparing themselves to filtered and AI-rendered images online.

Ever-so-casually, she said, “It’s not new, women have been comparing ourselves to a beauty standard that’s more messed up than we know. For example, many of the Victoria’s Secret models are men. That’s their secret.”
