What Do You Mean, "Viruses don't cause disease"?
A simple explanation of a mind-blowing paradigm shift 🤯
An unproven hypothesis
The statement, “viruses cause disease such as the flu, Covid, measles, mumps, chickenpox, and covid” is a hypothesis that has not been proven using the scientific method.
There are many reasons — and many unknown reasons — why people in the same region fall sick with similar symptoms. People may exhibit the same symptoms due to environmental and community influences.
For example:
Sailors in the 19th century frequently fell ill with scurvy, due to vitamin C deficiencies on long voyages.
Many people developed cancer after the nuclear power plant explosion in Chernobyl event.
Beriberi caused illnesses among family members and was due to B vitamin deficiency.
Consider how mortality from diseases like measles, mumps, and whooping cough fell upwards of 95% before the associated vaccine was introduced.
Environmental and social changes coincided with the steep mortality decline in those various diseases.
A virus has not been scientifically proven be the cause of any of those diseases. Potentially, environmental factors (improved public sanitation, refrigeration, and economic advances) may have played a key role in reducing those diseases.
Virus “isolation” debunked
When virologists “isolate” a virus, they do not obtain that virus from the fluid of a sick person or animal.
If the virus were to be isolated in such a manner, it would follow the steps used to isolate bacteriophages.
Fluid (such as nasal mucous) would be obtained from a sick person.
The fluid would be filtered to remove larger molecules.
The fluid would be put through a centrifuge and molecules of a certain size end up in different “bands” of the mixture.
The virus could be hypothetically extracted from one of these bands and then its genetic makeup could be sequenced.
But instead of using pure fluid from a sick person, virologists create a “cell culture” using a monkey kidney cell. To this, they add a sample of mucus from a person thought to be infected with the virus.
This introduces a variable of genetic material and creates an environment not found in nature.
Then, to create the “cell culture,” virologists add additional ingredients that do not mimic a naturally occurring environment.
This typically includes:
Antibiotics
Anti-fungals
Fetal bovine serum (blood from an aborted calf)
Nutritive mixture to keep the cell alive
These ingredients are toxic to the cell, and cause the cell to break down. This is called a cytopathic effect.
Virologists use a microscope to view the small particles that result from this cellular breakdown process.
They call some of these small particles viruses, and others exosomes (also called “extracellular vesicles”).
Here’s the crucial and mind-blowing point: the particles are indistinguishable from each other!
Scientific Method vs. Pseudoscientific Method
The scientific method requires using a control group for such an experiment, to determine what would happen without the experimental variable (the sample of mucus).
Because a control group is not used, the standard technique of “viral isolation” is pseudoscience — it doesn’t follow the scientific method.
Only a few instances of a control group have ever been used in viral “isolation” studies, and these studies produced virus-like particles in both the experimental and control cell cultures.
Consider the following studies by John Enders (1954) and Stephen Lanka (2021).
John Enders developed the process that became the basis for developing “viral cultures.” In 1954, he pioneered the cell culture process using monkey kidney cells and additional ingredients, as described above.
He “inoculated” these cell cultures with swabs taken from the throats of children who had the symptoms of measles. The cell broke down into small particles, and Enders concluded that this cellular breakdown was proof of the measles virus from the throat swabs.
Yet Enders also produced a cell culture without adding the throat swab. He stated:
“A second agent was obtained from an unincoulated culture of monkey kidney cells. The cytopathic changes it induced in the unstained [uninoculated] preparations could not be distinguished with confidence from the viruses obtained from measles.”
In 2021, German microbiologist Stephan Lanka did a properly controlled study to examine cell cultures containing human mucus (the supposed virus source) and cell cultures without human mucus.
The same cytopathic effect (and the release of viral-sized exosomes) occurred in cell culture without any infectious material added.

Since the scientific method has not been used to prove the existence of viruses, or isolate viruses, the genetic sequencing of viruses is based on pseudoscience.
Every genetic analysis of purported viruses is done on the results of cells cultured with cellularly-toxic ingredients and additional sources of genetic material (such as aborted calf blood). Therefore, the genetic sequencing is not done on an isolated virus.
The genetic sequence obtained may simply reflect genetic material from the original cell and cell culture ingredients — not a hypothesized virus.

“How can you claim an entire field of study is wrong?”
When I share this information about virology, some people say:
“But virologists have dedicated their entire careers to studying viruses!”
“How can you claim to know more than the experts in this field?”
“If the false premise of virology was as obvious as you claim, wouldn’t the experts be aware of this?”
Yet none of these comments share valid scientific data or rational arguments that refute the information I share. These are emotional reactions, not logical arguments.

I agree, a very freeing paradigm shift
The evidence for viruses is irrepressible and conforms to all the observed data. Larger viruses can be observed under an optical microscope. Optical super resolution techniques can resolve in real time 10-20 nm objects, much smaller than a 120 nm virus. They can track the trajectory of 8 nm spike protein. Modern genetic sequencing is performed using single whole viruses, without the need for cultivation first. This system is called single-cell genome sequencing and enables scientists to sample the genetics of complete virus without cultivation. Unfortunately, the Baileys, Kaufman, Massey, Cowan are unaware of these facts.
