Beautiful! Forgiveness is a gift primarily to yourself. Oh what a world we would live in if we learned to be truly grateful and forgiving. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Folks don't understand what forgiveness is. Hate and anger are poisons of the spirit. Forgiveness is the antidote. Your abuser probably couldn't care less about you forgiving him. By you forgiving him, you have let go of all that garbage and can move forward with your life.
Such commenters really don't care about a victim, & thus want the victim to stay enmeshed in that state, & allow herself to be used as a weapon against the specific abuser as part of a political struggle. That's horrific, as though rising above one's abuse is deemed worse than the original abuse! They care about the implied political struggle, and use victims as a weapon in that.
Thank you for choosing love and forgiveness as your choice amplified these forces in the unified field. There really are no victims. At the level of Consciousness, the abuser and victim are conjoined around the same belief, but have different defenses. For example, a bully and the bullied both fear being hurt by others. The bully chooses a defense of aggression to keep others at bay while the bullied chooses to blend in with the woodwork, thinking that will keep him safe. But the bully finds the bullied easily in the crowd because they resonate energetically with the same fear. It's like a magnet. So to be free of the being-bullied pattern, the fear of being hurt has to be healed. The bully may continue bullying, but they will no longer pick on the person who heals the fear they had in common. This match up at the mental/emotionallevel is going on in relationships all the time. The good news is the evidence of what you need to heal is right in front of you when these imbalances show up in your life. If you have the courage to accept that you always have a part in the dynamic, you can sort it and get free. People
who do not want to take responsibility for what happens to them remain victims. Responsibility is not blame. If we truly had no hand in what happens to us, then we would be victims, but that just is not how consciousness works. You are communicating your subconscious beliefs and emotions in your aura all the time without ever opening your mouth and others are attracted or repulsed by this information pretty instantaneously. When you get free of dysfunctional beliefs, it is natural to be grateful to those who helped us become aware of what needed changing in us and maybe we even pray that they will also have an awakening of their own to free them from their fears.
Thank you for boldly and beautifully sharing your story, Lauren! I, too, have found by healing from abuse that you can find your heart in the most amazing of places. You are stronger & wiser on the other side. 💝
"By healing from abuse that you can find your heart in the most amazing of places." That is so beautifully put, and thank you for sharing your experience 💝
I think it's amazing you were able to forgive. It shows your own mental strength and fortitude. I know immediately I'm not as strong as you as I know I wouldn't be able to forgive.
Thank you for sharing.
On a lighter note. The 1st YouTube video that you link too, well i saw your face and my nieces voice immediately entered my mind and went "eyebrows on fleek" LOL.

Agreed! Thanks for the kind comment 💝
Yes! Forgiveness is a gift from God, it literally takes away the burden of suffering the abuse brought. And it's the only thing that can do that.

I totally agree 💝
